Siddhithumka Peak

The surrounding area of this peak seems wonderful with white Darsan Dhunga amonst the grove of Jimbu and Hinguwa species of trees. During the time of the sunrise when the first ray of the sun falls on Kanchanjungha, the environment slips into the veneer of moonlit night. Everything seems basked in the moonlight so looks silvery. The sun itself gradually seems to be changing its shape from cucumber to sea waves, pitcher and hat and for about 10 or 20 minutes the bubble-bees are seen to be flying around a large stone at the peak. During this time we can get a very splendid view of different parts of Jhapa, Ilam and India. The sun seeming to be taking a dive in the horizon is next attraction of this place.

Similarly, wonderful and startling sight and structure of stones are also found here. Inside the cave there are five subways, which are more than 50 m. The entrance of these passageways, named as Bhuitala, Bichtala and Sirhantala, really deserve to be watched. Very narrow though at the entrance, we find these subways wide enough to walk freely once we make an entry. As only truly religious persons can pass through the narrow entrance, the cave is revered as a deity who is a protector of religion. Inside the cave various patterns of different animals like Naga, bird, elephant, tiger and the mark of the hoof of cow, and things like Dhiki, Janto, Dhupauro and Gajo and Dhangro of exorcist are found.
